emptiness

so early in youth the truth of the emptiness of human existence was shown in the flesh in the form of the adults closest to me and the larger circle beyond... the television was the daily experience for the ones who did not work... the pushing of product, sales, or the pushing of paper, recording sales, was the daily experience for those who did work... there must have been music, literature, learning, creativity, and deeper enlightenment in other homes, but the void of television was all the experience provided for me... as i could i found ways to earn money to buy music, books, arts, and experiences that the world outside of home offered... any wonder why the other side of the wall related so well to the child within the emptiness?...
